Cinnamon Bun Bites for Dogs

Doing some baking today? Treat your pup to these super delicious cinnamon bun bites for dogs! They’re super easy to make, and you may even want to try some yourself.

2 cups whole-wheat flour
1 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
½ cup water
¼ cup canola oil
1 large egg
2 tbsp. honey
1 tsp. cinnamon
¼ cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Cream cheese drizzle (optional):
¼ cup light cream cheese
1-2 tbsp. milk or water

Preheat oven to 350F
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt
In a small bowl, stir together water, oil and egg, and add to the dry ingredients
Combine until soft dough forms
On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a rectangle measuring approximately 8×14 inches
Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with cinnamon and nuts
Starting from a long edge, roll up jelly-rolejelly-roll style and the then pinch the edge to seal
Use a sharp knife to cut half an inch thick slices and place on a cookie sheet sprayed with non-stick spray
Bake for approximately 15 minutes, until springy to the touch
Cool completely before spreading with the cream cheese

Makes approximately 2-dozen cinnamon bun bites. Store in the fridge in an airtight container.
